Halton Regional Police say investigators have identified an elderly man linked to a suspicious person incident in Burlington on June 16, 2026. Police say there was no criminal intent or criminal offence and no threat to public safety.

Police say a small group of students walking home from school in the area of Spruce Avenue and Meadowhill Road were approached by an unknown male who offered them a ride home. The children did not stop or speak to him, and he left on foot; there were no physical injuries and no physical contact.
