Whereas the City of Burlington has received a site plan application for a data centre in an employment area of the City, on South Service Road in Ward 4; and Whereas the data centre will require approximately 17 MW electricity, and the proponent has been working with Burlington Hydro to secure the energy required to operate the facility; and Whereas the centre will utilize air-cooling rather than water-cooling, and Halton Region is currently reviewing applicable servicing requirements; and Whereas city staff are circulating the application to applicable technical agencies for review and commen
