Halton Regional Police say a 46-year-old Burlington man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a homicide in Burlington on Sept. 10, 2026. Police say officers went to an apartment in the area of Guelph Line and Glencrest Road around 6:30 a.m. to check on a female occupant and found an adult female deceased inside. Police say a male suspect in his 40s fled before officers arrived, was later located in the Niagara Falls area and arrested at about 7:45 a.m. Police say the suspect and the deceased knew each other and no additional suspects are being sought.
