First-degree murder charge laid in Burlington homicide

Halton Regional Police Service say a 46-year-old Burlington man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a homicide in Burlington on September 10, 2026. Police say officers found an adult female dead inside an apartment in the area of Guelph Line and Glencrest Road after attending to check on her wellbeing at about 6:30 a.m. A male suspect in his 40s fled before police arrived, was later located in the Niagara Falls area and arrested at about 7:45 a.m. Police say the suspect and the deceased were known to each other and there are no additional suspects.
