Updates to the City of Hamilton Waste Requirements for Design of New Developments and Collection (City Wide) (Spadafora/Beattie) That Report PW26052, dated May 25, 2026, respecting Updates to the City of Hamilton Waste Requirements for Design of New Developments and Collection (City Wide), BE RECEIVED, and the following recommendations, BE APPROVED: (a) That the updated “City of Hamilton Waste Requirements for Design of New Developments and Collection”, as detailed in Appendix “A” to report PW26052, BE APPROVED; (b) That staff BE DIRECTED to apply the updated “City of Hamilton Waste Requirements for Design of New Developments and Collection”, to all new development applications and requests for collection received by the City, upon Council approval; and (c) That staff BE DIRECTED to report back to the Waste Management Sub Committee annually on the number of development applications in each ward that have not been designed to receive municipal waste collection.
