WHEREAS, the park pathways are approaching end of useful life and need to be replaced; WHEREAS, the pathway replacement will be phased to align with other park improvements, with this funding supporting the first phase of pathway improvements; WHEREAS, Mark Anthony Graham Memorial Olympic Park, located at 948 Mohawk Road West, supports an active recreational baseball program; and, WHEREAS, the existing batting cage requires replacement due to end-of-life conditions. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: (a) That the park pathway replacement at Carpenter Park, 145 Eagleglen Way, Hamilton, be approved to be funded from the Ward 14 Capital Re-Investment Reserve #108064 at an upset Public Works Committee June 15, 2026 Minutes PWC 26-008 Page 8 of 21 Please refer to the June 24, 2026, Council Minutes for the disposition of these matters. limit, including contingency, not to exceed $50,000 and added to the existing Project ID #4242609144; (b) That the batting cage replacement at Mark Anthony Graham Memorial Olympic Park, 948 Mohawk Road West, Hamilton, be approved to be funded from the Ward 14 Area Rating Discretionary Account #3302309014 at an upset limit, including contingency, not to exceed $70,000; and, (c) That the General Manager of Public Works, or designate, be authorized and directed to approve and execute any and all required agreements and ancillary documents, in relation to the replacement park pathways at Carpenter Park, 145 Eagleglen Way, and the batting cage replacement at Mark Anthony Graham Memorial Olympic Park, 948 Mohawk Road West, Hamilton, with such terms and conditions satisfactory to the City Solicitor.
