City of Hamilton's Response to Provincial Bill 98, the Building Homes and Improving Transportation Infrastructure Act, 2026 (City Wide) (i) Steve Burke, Manager, Sustainable Communities, addressed the Committee with a presentation respecting Report PED26129, the City of Hamilton's Response to Provincial Bill 98, the Building Homes and Improving Transportation Infrastructure Act, 2026 (City Wide). Councillor M. Wilson assumed the Chair. (Nann/A. Wilson) That the presentation from Steve Burke, Manager, Sustainable Communities, respecting Official Plan Review Program, be received. CARRIED (ii) (Nann/A. Wilson) That Report PED26129, dated June 16, 2026, respecting the City of Hamilton's Response to Provincial Bill 98, the Building Homes and Improving Transportation Infrastructure Act, 2026 (City Wide), and the accompanying presentation, be received and the recommendations contained therein be approved: (a) That the submission and recommendations as provided in Report PED26129 regarding Bill 98, the Building Homes and Improving Transportation Infrastructure Act, 2026 as attached in Appendices “A” to “O”, to Report PED26129, be approved; and, (b) That the Director of Planning and Chief Planner be directed to confirm the submissions made to the Province, attached as Appendices “A” to “O” to Report PED26129.
