Suspect drug-related deaths are running 31% ahead of last year through June

The city's figures record 92 deaths in the first 6 months of 2026, against 70 over the same months of 2025.

Hamilton has recorded 92 suspect drug-related deaths in 2026 through June, according to Hamilton Opioid Information System, City of Hamilton Public Health. Over the same 6 months of 2025 the series recorded 70, a difference of 31%.
