Jurisdictional Scan on Emergency Shelter Access and Inter-Municipal Coordination (City Wide) (A. Wilson/Kroetsch) That Report HSC26041, dated July 8, 2026, respecting Jurisdictional Scan on Emergency Shelter Access and Inter-Municipal Coordination (City Wide), be received and the following recommendation be approved: (a) That staff be directed to continue strengthening existing diversion practices and inter-municipal coordination to support people seeking emergency shelter access in Hamilton with safe and appropriate alternatives, and that a residency-based eligibility policy for shelter access not be implemented at this time.
