Hamilton Police are seeking the public’s assistance after an arson at Christie Lake Conservation Area in Flamborough. Police and the Hamilton Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1002 Highway 5 on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at about 7 a.m., and investigators determined the fire was deliberately set. Two pavilion structures sustained extensive damage estimated at more than $1 million. The Ontario Fire Marshal was consulted and will not attend the scene.
