Police investigating double homicide on Candlewood Drive

Hamilton Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Candlewood Drive that killed two males. Police say officers responded to a residence on July 29, 2026, at about 2:25 a.m. after reports of shots fired and found two males with gunshot wounds who later died in hospital. Investigators believe at least six individuals attended the area of 191 Candlewood Drive, where an exchange of gunfire occurred, and say the shooting may have been retaliation for an earlier disturbance involving bear spray at a residence in Hamilton’s east end.
