Officers responded to a disturbance at 353 James Street North on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at about 4:50 p.m. Police say the altercation began after an unknown male went through the victim’s belongings and ignored requests to leave, then assaulted the victim with an edged weapon before fleeing. The suspect is described as a light-skinned male about 30 years old, about 5-foot-9, with a balding hairline and dark beard, wearing a green tank top, light-coloured shorts and dark sunglasses.
