Hamilton Police are investigating a serious collision involving a pedestrian that occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in the area of Stone Church Road East and Upper Wellington Street. Hamilton Police say a 91-year-old woman was walking westbound in the bike lane with a mobility walker when she was struck from behind by a Hyundai driven by an 81-year-old woman. The pedestrian was taken to Hamilton General Hospital in critical condition, and no charges have been laid. Police say Stone Church Road East was closed in both directions during the investigation and has since reopened.
