Opioid-related emergency department visits fell 60% in October from a year earlier

Hamilton recorded 37 opioid-related emergency department visits in October 2026, according to Hamilton Opioid Information System, City of Hamilton Public Health. In October 2025 the same series recorded 92, a fall of 60% year over year.

The 2026 total stands at 1,213 through October.
